West Women's Shelter & Children's Shelter

For almost 30 years, The Salvation Army West Women's and Children's Shelter (WWCS) has been serving homeless women and their children in the Portland area. Unfortunately, many of these women and children who are survivors of domestic violence and find themselves at the shelter looking for help and for hope. The shelter is supported by community donations, with additional funding by various government contracts. The Gladstone Community Club will be working with the Salvation Army by providing a drop off point for donated items which are in need by the shelter.

We will be receiving donated items on the 2nd Saturday of each month from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm at our club, 255 E Exeter St. (across from John Wetten School).

The following is a list of items that can be used and will be accepted for donation by the Club on behalf of the West Women's Shelter:

*Bus tickets (adult; 2 zone and all zone)
*Cash or checks are also accepted
* = High demand items

Please only bring good, usuable, clean items. Appliances, furniture or other items not on the list are not needed and cannot be accepted. We can only accept items at the specified days and hours.
